If you are visiting Blackpool Pleasure Beach, the location of this hotel is fantastic. Upon arrival at the hotel, the gentleman behind the reception desk was very pleasant, friendly, polite and helpful. The hotel in general is very clean, and there is entertainment often available at the bar. It's not a bad place for a young group to stay if visiting Blackpool for a night out though, as all you really need in that eventuality is a place to crash out at the end of the night.

Unfortunately, I have more bad things to say about this hotel, than I have good. I paid £40 for one night at the hotel for a double room for my 9 year old daughter and myself. The room was very small and rather 'dated'. One of the doors from a chest of drawers had fallen off, leaving a dangerous 2inch screw sticking out into the small space between the bed and chest. The bed was a junior double, and every spring could be felt through the mattress. It was pretty uncomfortable to say the least! The tv in the room was a traditional portable, which lost it's volume after being on for a short while. Shame really, as we were quite enjoying the film we were watching! Also I couldn't get hot water out of the shower. I expected a hearty breakfast in the morning, cooked with local produce, but instead was treated to one of the poorest offerings I've ever had at any hotel. Not enough choice on offer,(no cereal was offered, etc), and not enough food on the plate, one of the girls looked quite miserable and couldn't really follow simple requests for a pot of coffee or a glass of orange juice. At £40 a night, this hotel is not up to standard in comparison to others I've visited in the area. I'm sorry, a lovely guy owns the place, but it's not worth the money charged. I didn't make any complaints as I chose to accept it as it was and just wanted to get on with the rest of my weekend with my daughter.

The location was good and the hotel has a homely feel and good value for money. Nothing was to much for the people running it we were the only ones to have a evening meal and they still cook a home made meal.

    Nothing

Poor service, on arrival we were told we would have to wait to get in the room, (4) hour wait? Not enough staff to cater for amount of visitors. On getting the room the door would not lock and were moved to a smaller room? That had mould on celing tiles, paper hanging off wall and was not up to health and safety standards with the kettle on a shelf with the cable hanging down. Other members of the party were told they did not have a room booked even though it was clearly marked on our booking form, this was eventually put right and the hotel blamed Booked.net for not telling them what was booked, overall a shabby hotel, poor management, needs upgrading and cleaning..could do with a visit from health & safety & enviromental health. Stag parties x 2 were booked in when we thought it was a STAG FREE HOTEL.

conveinent for most attractions, lovely breakfast and a large bar area which was what i was looking for.

although a large bar area there was no advertised entertainment for that evening i had asked the woman behind reception if there was any entertainment but she did not know. later on i asked thr man behind the bar if there was any entertainment on and he did not know but kindly went to find out for me and said on his arrival that there was. the entertainment that evening was a man who played some cd,s in a machine on stage and called out bingo which he didnt do very well either, all the 99s he said at one stage and bingo only goes to 90. i did choose this hotel as it had a large number of rooms and was originaly traveling alone so wanted entertainment where i was staying, as being a woman lone traveler i did not want to go in bars would recommend a stay here as cheap and cheerful but if its entertainment you want maybe check before you book.
